I moved around quite a bit growing up, starting off in Texas and moving through Florida, Minnesota, and New Jersey. My childhood was always filled with animals, including dogs, cats, birds, hedgehogs, hamsters, and snakes. It has always been my dream to become a veterinarian and I could not be more excited to begin my career at Friendship Hospital for Animals!
I received my undergraduate degree in Veterinary and Biomedical Science with a minor in Equine Science from Penn State. At that time, I thought I was destined to become an equine veterinarian and surgeon. However, after starting veterinary school at the University of Pennsylvania, I quickly decided that feline medicine was my true passion. I have always been an avid cat lover and self-proclaimed “crazy cat lady” and loved learning about their unique veterinary needs. My professional areas of interest largely include feline medicine and surgery.
Outside of veterinary medicine, I enjoy spending time with family and friends, swimming, cycling, and traveling. I am excited to be moving to D.C. with my two cats, Punim and Schmutz, and will hopefully have many visits from my family dog, Toasty.
