Meet our Doctors

Samantha Soong, DVM

Rotating Veterinarian

I grew up in Hawaii and the Bay Area of California. I have always had a special love for animals and completing my undergraduate at Auburn University allowed me to learn all aspects of agriculture, which was incredibly new for me coming from beaches. I shadowed small animal veterinarians in California during my summers prior to vet school. I got to move back to an island, St. Kitts, where I attended veterinary school at Ross University. During my clinical year of vet school at University of Florida, I profoundly expanded my knowledge and was given the opportunity to work as a small animal emergency veterinarian for the few months after finishing. I spend most of my free time with my Frenchie, who I’ve had since the start of vet school. I also love staying active and trying new food.

I am excited to be an intern at Friendship! They peaked my interest when I learned about their collaborative medicine, excellent patient care, and enthusiasm about teaching. I have never lived in the Northeast, so I am thrilled to begin this new adventure.
