I grew up in North Dakota and initially went to school for engineering with a plan to work in academia. After a few years more education and working, I realized I wanted to do something where I felt I could make a more direct impact and went back to vet school. Since graduating, I have practiced in multiple areas across the country, mostly in emergency medicine and have enjoyed the opportunity to continue to learn by working with many different specialists. I have a special interests in trauma, transfusion medicine and sepsis.

Outside of work, I enjoy hiking, dancing, weight lifting, art, knitting and reading as well as spending time with my Irish Setter, Clover. I am excited to be joining the team at Friendship with its focus on highest quality medicine, collaboration and continued learning.
