I grew up in the San Francisco Bay Area and have always felt a special kinship with animals. I pursued my undergraduate degree at UC Berkeley (Go Bears!) where I received a Bachelor of Arts in Molecular and Cell Biology before attending the University of Georgia (Go Dawgs!) for veterinary school. While volunteering at the Oakland Zoo and a local wildlife rehabilitation center near my hometown of San Mateo, CA, I was fortunate enough to work with an array of species which sparked a deep interest in zoo/exotic/wildlife medicine. During veterinary school, I also developed a strong interest in diagnostic imaging and neurology.

Outside of work, I enjoy going to trivia nights, exploring the city, being outdoors, playing piano, attempting to crack cipher puzzles, and spending time with my family, friends and spicy calico kitty Petal, who was a foster fail following our junior surgery course in veterinary school.
