I grew up in Toronto as the oldest of four and moved to the US for undergrad at Tufts University, which I loved so much that I stayed for veterinary school. After graduating, I spent two years as an emergency veterinarian in Philadelphia, where I learned to think on my feet and developed a particular interest in pain management and trauma.
My favorite part of the job is helping owners understand what is going on with their pet so they can be part of the decision-making process. I also enjoy working with each family to find a plan that fits their circumstances. I’m excited to join the Friendship team and learn from the many specialists here.
My partner and I are new to DC and happily working our way through the city’s museums, restaurants, and Rock Creek Park. On a day off, you can find me playing tennis at the N Street courts, knitting a blanket, or reading fiction on my Kindle. I don’t miss Toronto winters, but I do miss River, my family’s golden retriever—and we’re on the lookout for a dog of our own in DC!
