Meet our Doctors

Lauren MacDonald, DVM

Staff Veterinarian

General Surgery, Primary Care

Dr. Lauren MacDonald

Originally from South Florida, I grew up in both Miami and Fort Lauderdale. I graduated from the University of Florida with a B.S. in Animal Sciences and a minor in International Studies. I stayed in Gainesville and received my DVM degree at the University of Florida’s College of Veterinary Medicine where I also completed a certificate in Shelter Medicine.

I gradually made my way up the east coast, now living in the D.C. metro area with my husband and our german shorthaired pointer pup, Monty.

After completing a small animal rotating internship at Friendship, I continued as a staff doctor on the Urgent Care Service for a few years and then joined the Primary Care and General Surgery Team.

As a native Floridian, I love the beach and enjoy being outdoors running or hiking with our pup. I also enjoy traveling to new places and traveling to visit family and friends.
