I grew up in Northern Virginia and attended high school right up the street from FHA. I always knew I wanted to be a veterinarian and grew up riding horses, so always thought I’d become an equine veterinarian. After falling in love with Blacksburg on a college tour, I decided to major in Animal & Poultry Sciences at Virginia Tech (Go Hokies!). After graduation in 2014, I then pursued my DVM at Virginia-Maryland College of Veterinary Medicine where I graduated as a member of Phi Zeta (the veterinary honors society) in May 2018.
Our family dog Maddie, a Cocker Spaniel, had chronic otitis externa and allergies throughout her life, and sparked my interest in dermatology. After completing my internship at FHA, my professional goal is to pursue a residency in dermatology.
For fun, I enjoy riding my horse, Biscuit, and walking my dogs, Phoebe and Selene, with my fiancée. I am thrilled to be joining the Friendship hospital team!
