I am originally from Kingston, Ontario, Canada, though veterinary medicine has led me to California, Alberta, Massachusetts and now DC. As a child, I was surrounded by animals on our sheep farm, and at my parents’ veterinary clinic, which certainly foreshadowed my career choice.
