I was born and raised in Atlanta, Georgia. Growing up in a family of doctors (an OBGYN, Urologist and Oral Surgeon), I developed a passion for practicing medicine very early in life. This passion took me to the University of Georgia where I would stay for the next 8 years graduating with a bachelors in Biology, a DVM, and a deep seeded love for the Georgia Bulldogs. Following graduation, I moved back to Atlanta to complete a rotating internship at Bluepearl before moving to Washington DC to pursue further surgical training.
Outside of the OR, I am an avid runner, pure-barre-ist and tennis fan (college and professional). I also regularly attend Passion City Church.
I chose Friendship because it is the premier specialty hospital in the DC area and is committed to putting patient care first. The practice offers multiple specialties from which we can learn and with which we can collaborate to offer the best standard of care to all of our patients. It is a practice that emphasizes teaching and furthering the boundaries of the veterinary field. Finally, it is a practice that is heavily invested in the community allowing us to serve by educating and providing care for as many animals, owned or in shelters, as we can.
