I grew up just outside of Houston, TX and have loved animals since the time I was little. When I was young, horses were my main passion and I grew up competing in horse shows and rodeos with my two horses and also raised hogs and cattle as a member of FFA during high school. I went on to Texas A&M (Gig ‘Em Aggies!) where I received both my undergraduate degree in Biomedical Sciences and my DVM. I initially came to Friendship Hospital to complete my year-long small animal rotating internship and fell in love with the city and the hospital as well as the fast pace and thrill of emergency medicine. I was very excited to accept a full time position in the Emergency department at Friendship following my internship.
I currently live in DC with my two awesome dogs, a German shorthaired pointer named Goose and a toy poodle named Boss. When I’m not at work I enjoy being outdoors, watching college football, spending time with friends, exploring DC and traveling the world.
