Originally from South Florida, I grew up in both Miami and Fort Lauderdale. I graduated from the University of Florida with a B.S. in Animal Sciences and a minor in International Studies. I stayed in Gainesville (Go Gators!) and received my DVM degree at the University of Florida’s College of Veterinary Medicine where I also completed a certificate in shelter medicine.
Outside of veterinary medicine, I enjoy spending time with family and friends, traveling, running, cooking and doing anything outdoors! As a native South Floridian, I particularly love the water, sailing and going to the beach whenever I have free time. Gradually making my way up the east coast, it has been fun getting to know the D.C. area.
While I enjoy all aspects of veterinary medicine, I have a special interest in emergency medicine and critical care, trauma, wound management, and shelter medicine. After completing a small animal rotating internship at Friendship Hospital for Animals, I was excited to join the hospital as a staff doctor with the Urgent Care Service.
