I grew up in the suburbs of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and earned my bachelor’s degree from the University of Rochester. I always had a love of science and animals; therefore, sought to exploit this passion while earning a PhD from the University of California, Irvine in Neurobiology. While I enjoyed research, I found that it did not satisfy my drive for local community involvement and individual care. I began volunteering at an animal shelter and fell in love with veterinary medicine.
I decided to embark on my veterinary education at Tufts University and now feel immensely privileged to be a member of the veterinary profession. During veterinary school I spent a lot of time at the local community clinic, where I developed a passion for providing quality care to underserved communities.
I enjoy spending as much free time as possible outdoors, either running, hiking, or picnicking. I also enjoy going to music concerts with my husband and spending time with our two cats at home, Boscoe and Lil’ Peanut. I am thrilled to join the Friendship team and work with the community in D.C.!
