Meet our Doctors

Kendall Bourke, DVM

Orthopedic and Soft Tissue Surgery Intern

Orthopedic & Specialty Surgery

I grew up in Montgomery County in Maryland; and left the area to attend Boston College. I completed my degree in Biochemistry before pursuing my DVM at the Virginia Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine. Shortly after graduation I took a position as an emergency clinician in Hawaii where for almost 3 years I had the pleasure of growing as a doctor while exploring the beautiful islands and solidifying my love for surfing. My journey took me back to Maryland about 2 years ago where I have had the opportunity to continue practicing emergency and critical care medicine at a specialty hospital.

Surgery has always been a passion on mine, and after 5 years in the ER I have decided to pursue it full time and am very excited to be doing so at Friendship Hospital for Animals.

When not working, I can be found at the gym, traveling with my husband, or taking lessons in relaxation from my dog Jackson.

Friendship provides state of the art, comprehensive services for our clients and patients. But, more than that, we provide a caring team who understand the unique human-animal bond. View Our Services
