I developed my passion for animals growing up on a farm in Pennsylvania. We cared for sheep, goats, lamas, chickens, cats, and dogs. I traveled to D.C. to study Environmental Science and play field hockey at American University (Go Eagles!). Upon graduation, I quickly realized I was much happier working with animals and started my veterinary career working as a veterinary technician right here at Friendship Hospital for Animals.
Now, I’ve completed the Doctor of Veterinary Medicine program at Virginia-Maryland College of Veterinary Medicine at Virginia Tech and I’m thrilled to be coming back to deliver amazing animal care alongside the exceptional Friendship team. I have recently completed my Low Stress Handling Silver Certification to better facilitate an enjoyable veterinary experience for all my patients. My primary interest is dentistry and emergency medicine. In my free time, I enjoy working out, cooking, and napping with Linus; the reigning D.C. Weiner dog 500 race Champion.
