I grew up in Timonium, MD (about 20 minutes outside of Baltimore) and my childhood dream was to become either a veterinarian or a pediatrician. Growing up in an animal loving family and working with some incredible veterinarians throughout high school and college helped make my decision pretty easy.
I received my undergraduate degree in Animal Sciences from the University of Maryland – College Park. I then headed south to warmer weather for veterinary school at the University of Florida College of Veterinary Medicine. I am excited to be involved in all aspects of veterinary medicine, but am most passionate about emergency medicine, surgery, internal medicine, and dermatology. I completed the Business Certificate offered by the University of Florida College of Veterinary Medicine as I am interested in the business management side of veterinary medicine; and maybe even owning my own practice one day.
Outside of veterinary medicine, I enjoy spending time with family and friends, being outside, cooking, watching Ravens games, and traveling. I have a four year old Aussie Mix named Cooper who has been the best practice patient and study partner throughout vet school. He is just as excited as I am to be moving to D.C., despite the colder weather!
